HISTORY…

Woodlands first opened its gates in 2010. Since then, we’ve welcomed over 100,000 of you to supercharge your weekend at Silverstone. Woodlands has grown significantly from just a campsite with a handful of campers to an event in its own right, with many holding Woodlands as the highlight of their Silverstone weekend.

We offer premium facilities, spacious pitches, live entertainment, bars, food and activities, offering a campsite where everyone can make the most of their race weekend.

We are renowned for our friendly community feel, which is why so many motorsport fans return year after year.

At Silverstone Woodlands, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact while providing an incredible camping experience for all our guests. We believe that sustainability and motorsport can go hand in hand, and we are taking meaningful steps to protect our beautiful surroundings for future generations.

Our Sustainability Efforts

🌿 Waste Reduction & Recycling
We have dedicated recycling stations throughout the campsite to encourage responsible waste disposal. Please join us in keeping the site clean by sorting your rubbish and using the correct bins. We have also introduced a reusable cup system to reduce plastic waste.

⚡ Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency
We use energy-efficient lighting across the campsite and are continuously exploring renewable energy sources to power our facilities.

🚶‍♂️ Encouraging Sustainable Transport
To reduce our carbon footprint, we encourage carpooling, the use of public transport, and cycling where possible.

🌍 Respecting Nature
Silverstone Woodlands is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, and we ask all guests to respect the environment by keeping to designated areas and minimizing their impact on wildlife.

How You Can Help

  • Reduce Single-Use Plastics: Bring reusable bottles and cups.

  • Leave No Trace: Take all belongings and waste with you when you leave.

  • Respect Wildlife: Avoid disturbing the local ecosystem.

  • Take your tent: an estimated 250,000 tents are left at festivals across the UK, of which the majority are taken to landfills. The average tent weighs 3.5kg and is mostly made of plastic – the equivalent of 8,750 straws or 250 pint cups.
