accessibility

  • campsite info

We strive to make our events welcoming to everyone and aim to make the event as accessible as possible for all guests. We offer accessible facilities in a dedicated area of the campsite. The following information provides details about the accessible provisions at Silverstone Woodlands. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please contact us.

As our accessible facilities are limited, we allow one pitch per eligible customer. As a courtesy to your neighbours and other customers with accessibility needs we ask that the number of guests camping with you does not result in you taking up more space than your allocated pitch. Your guests may be asked to use the other facilities on site at peak times to give priority to those with accessibility requirements. All guests in the accessible area must purchase a full price ticket.

Please note: our accessible facilities are limited, and we prioritise them for guests with long term disabilities. Therefore, they are not generally available for those with temporary conditions, such as pregnancy or broken limbs. In order to be able to obtain tickets for our accessible camping area you will need to provide documentation to pass eligibility checks.

  • site info

The accessible campsite is positioned between Gate 15 entrance to the circuit and the entertainment arena of woodlands. The accessible campsite is located for convenience and to minimise distances between the circuit, facilities, and main arena.

Before booking a ticket, please be aware that Silverstone Woodlands is hosted on a green-field site, with some hardstanding roadways. Whilst there are some sheltered areas (marquees, performance spaces), it is mainly an open-air event. Ground conditions are therefore weather dependent (if we experience extreme weather the ground may become muddy), therefore mobility across the site may become compromised.

  • Campsite facilities

    - Accessible showers with ramped access and grab rails

    - Accessible toilets with ramped access and grab rails

    - Accessible shuttles between the campsite and Silverstone Circuit

    - Medical teams and Stewards on hand when needed

    - Hard standing access roads throughout the campsite. The entertainment area has some hardstanding paths put is primarily a greenfield area.

  • RADAR SCHEME

All of our accessible toilets and showers are equipped with RADAR locks. You can either bring your own RADAR key from home or borrow one from the Information point for a £20 deposit.

Please do not allow your friends and family who don’t need accessible facilities to borrow your RADAR key as this results in long queues and the toilets becoming full and unusable.

  • eligibility

If Accessible camping is something your require please book an accessible camping ticket and we will reach out to your prior to the event date to gain proof of documentation. In order to be eligible to camp within this area the lead booker will need to provide proof of one of the following:

    - Higher rate PIP entitlement

    - Access Card* (with Level Access or Distance symbols)

    - A medical professionals letter (to be reviewed case by case)

*The Access Card is a great scheme that helps communicate access requirements between yourself and many service providers including us here at Woodlands. The Access card symbols communicate information to us without the need to go into detail about your specific requirements making the process easier and stress free. You can apply for an Access card here:

    https://www.accesscard.online/
