standard tent camping

This type of camping is included in your ticket price as standard.

All campsite admission tickets include allow you to bring your own tent or tent box for your stay! OR… upgrade to one of our accommodation options. You’re welcome to arrive on any day from Thursday.

  • You will be directed to drive to your dedicated camping field and park next to your camping pitch

  • We do not specify a pitch size for tent camping, we just ask that you take only the space you need. As a guideline, pitches are usually the length of your car by approximately 6 metres. Additional pitches are available for larger groups at the discretion of the campsite stewards.

  • We suggest arriving together to ensure you are camped with your friends as we cannot reserve spaces for your friends to arrive at a later time.

  • Silverstone Woodlands is situated close to Gate 14 and Gate 15 of the Silverstone Circuit and our entertainment area is on your doorstep. Hosting our main stage, family friendly activities, fun fair rides, delicious street food and our pub you will never be short of entertainment.

LIVE IN VEHICLES

& ELECTRIC PITCHES

Live in vehicle pitch passes are an additional ticket that is required if you're bringing any form of Live-In Vehicle onto the campsite, even if you aren't planning on sleeping in it. It entitles you to a pitch in the Live-In Vehicle area.

  • ALL Electric Hook-up Pitches (sizes are approximate):

Electric Hook-up Pitches (sizes are approximate):

    Standard pitch = 7 x 8 metres

    Large pitch = 6 x 12 meters

    Non Electric Live-In Vehicle Pitch

    Standard pitch = 7 x 8 metres

Pitch sizes are approximate. We endeavour to make pitch sizes as exact as possible but occasionally your pitch may vary.

Your entire camp including vehicle will need to fit onto the pitch. If it doesn’t, you will need to purchase an additional pitch. Due to restrictions with cables and electrical distribution, all hook-up pitches are situated in blocks, meaning the pitches either side of yours will be occupied by another hook-up user. This means if your camp doesn’t all fit onto your pitch, you’ll be encroaching on your neighbours!

Your friends can join you on your pitch along as their tent can fit onto your pitch within the designated space. If they cannot fit we’re afraid that they will have to set up camp in the non electric areas nearby. If you’d still like to be camped next to one another then your friends will need to book a hook-up pitch too.

Please note only ONE live-in vehicle is permitted on each pitch.

  • Live in vehicle pitch passes are an additional ticket that is required if you're bringing any form of Live-In Vehicle onto the campsite, even if you aren't planning on sleeping in it. It entitles you to a pitch (see sizes above) in the Live-In Vehicle area. A Live-In Vehicle is anything that is converted in anyway for living or sleeping. This includes, but is not limited to day-vans, trailer tents, caravans, converted vans and motorhomes. Tent boxes do NOT require a live in pitch pass.

If you arrive to the campsite in a Live-In Vehicle without the correct ticket, you may be refused access to the site. To check if you need a Live-In Vehicle pass, please send photos of the interior of the vehicle to tickets@silverstonewoodlands.co.uk.

If we have SOLD OUT of Live-In Vehicle Pitch passes, then this means we only have tent camping available and you would not be able to bring your Live-In Vehicle. You would need to arrive at the campsite in a car.

  • Whats included? We provide 1no. 16 amp single phase CeeForm female socket on the corner of each pitch, which has an allowance of 8 amps per pitch.

You can draw 8 amps; as we have temporary diesel generators rather than mains power, we have to restrict the usage somewhat. You could run a kettle or heater or shower (for example) but not all at the same time. If you use too many items the power may trip.

What do I bring? Live-in vehicle campers should provide an outdoor grade 16amp single phase cable of at least 15m in length that has a 16a single phase CeeForm socket on one end and plug on the other. A minimum of 2.5mm cable is necessary for 16amps. Tent campers with an Electric Hook Up pitch should being an outdoor grade 16amp single phase cable of at least 15m in length that has weather protected 13amp plugs on one end and a 16a single phase CeeForm socket on the other.

  • Anyone using a 13a socket should ensure that they are kept off the ground, under cover and away from liquids of any kind.

Splitters are not permitted as this will trip the power and cause a safety hazard.

As our accessible facilities are limited, we allow one pitch per eligible customer. As a courtesy to your neighbours and other customers with accessibility needs we ask that the number of guests camping with you does not result in you taking up more space than your allocated pitch. Your guests may be asked to use the other facilities on site at peak times to give priority to those with accessibility requirements. All guests in the accessible area must purchase a full price ticket.

ACCESSIBLE CAMPING

  • The accessible campsite is positioned between Gate 15 entrance to the circuit and the entertainment arena of woodlands. The accessible campsite is located for convenience and to minimise distances between the circuit, facilities, and main arena.
