Camping at the British Touring Car Championship is a great way to make the most out of your Silverstone experience. You can relax on the campsite and, when you’re ready, stretch your legs for a short walk into Silverstone Circuit.

Our facilities at Silverstone Woodlands are second to none, from purpose built permanent toilets & showers to “The Petrol Head” pub, all of which has one aim – to make your Silverstone experience as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible.

Important Information

Directions

Silverstone is a rural location, we suggest planning your trip in advance. Please also check the Silverstone Circuit website for directions as we are just next door.

By Car - Follow all directional signage to Silverstone Circuit. As you get closer to the circuit, please follow all directional signage relevant to the campsite. We will email you closer to the event telling you what which signs to look out for.

By Train - The closest train stations are Milton Keynes Central, Northampton, Wolverton and Banbury. Taxi’s serve these stations and can drop you at the campsite gate.

By Taxi - The taxi drop off point is at Gate C. Follow all event signage to the campsite when approaching the Silverstone Circuit.

Site opening times

The Entry Gates are open at the following times:

Friday: 09:00 until 23:00

Saturday: 08:00 until 23:00

*Your weekend camping ticket entitles you to camp with us from Friday to Monday.

Campsite facilities

  • On-site pub

  • Disabled Camping area close to disabled facilities

  • Cassettes can be emptied at Chemical Toilet Disposal Points

  • Limited electric hook ups available at an additional cost

Arrival

All camping tickets are sold through Kaboodle. Please print off your e-tickets before you arrive make your arrival as quick as possible. Tickets are attached as a PDF to your email order confirmation from Kaboodle. Upon arrival, your camping tickets will be exchanged for wristbands. Please keep your wristband intact for the duration of the event. If you lose it or it comes off you will be refused re-entry to the campsite and will be charged for a new one at face value.

We do not accept card payments at the campsite entrance. To help speed up the arrival process, please be sure to have any cash you may need to pay with at the gates with you on arrival.

Pitch sizes

Tents/Live-Ins without electric

We do not specify a pitch size for tent camping, we just ask that you take only the space you need.

Electric Hook-up Pitches = 7 x 8 metres

General housekeeping

  • The Disabled facilities area are strictly for Blue Badge holders only.
  • The campsite roads must be kept clear at all times. Any vehicles blocking roads will be removed.
  • No generators are allowed on-site.
  • Silverstone Woodlands is a NO GLASS campsite! Please decant all liquids into plastic containers before arrival.
  • Please only take up the space you need.
  • Do not camp under the powerlines
  • Beware! DO NOT carry tall flag poles whilst walking in the proximity of the power lines!

The official bits

  • All campsite roads are classed as Public Roads, as such they fall under the various Road Traffic Acts which could lead to prosecutions for driving offences in the event of an incident. DO NOT drink and drive.
  • Failure to comply with any of the rules and regulations or behaving in a manner which is deemed unsociable or potentially dangerous will result in you being ejected from the campsite without refund.

The serious bit: Silverstone Woodlands Campsite reserves the right to search any/all vehicles and/or persons on arrival. Admission will be refused to anyone carrying prohibited items, regardless of the tickets carried by the persons concerned and without refund. Silverstone Woodlands Campsite Ltd reserves the right to refuse permission of entry or re-entry to any person(s). No trading/flyering/placing of posters/stickers without prior written consent.
