COVID-19 FAQs

What do I need in order to gain access to Silverstone Woodlands for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix in 2021?

To keep everything simple, Silverstone Woodlands has the same entry requirements as Silverstone Circuit. Therefore all ticket holders (aged 11 and over) from the UK will either be required to provide proof of a NHS negative lateral flow test [OR] proof of full vaccination to attend the event.

FULL VACCINATION

Ticket holders who have been vaccinated will need to have had both doses at least 14 days before their first day attending the campsite in order to demonstrate their vaccine status.

  • England: Proof of vaccination is available to ticket holders registered with a GP in England and can be displayed via the NHS COVID Pass in the NHS App, NHS.UK or via PDF or print out.

  • Ticket holders without access to a computer, tablet or smartphone can also request a printed letter by calling 119.

  • Scotland: Ticket holders from Scotland can access their vaccine status here, All other ticket holders will be required to show a negative NHS lateral flow test taken within 48hrs of attending the event in order to gain entry.

  • Wales: Ticket holders from Wales can access their vaccine status here.

  • For residents of Northern Ireland, you may demonstrate your COVID status through a negative lateral flow test, reported and demonstrated via a text message or email from the NHS self-report tool

Please note: vaccine cards are not accepted as proof of vaccination.

NHS NEGATIVE LATERAL FLOW TEST

Ticket holders who haven't received both doses of the vaccine 14 days prior, will be required to take an NHS lateral flow test within the 48hrs prior to arriving at the campsite. The result needs to be negative and reported here within 24 hours of taking it and shown via the NHS COVID Pass in the NHS App. You will then need to retest and report results every 48 hours for as long as you remain at the event.

The results of the lateral flow tests need to be uploaded using the NHS self-report tool, whether you are a UK resident or a ticket holder from abroad. If you do not have the NHS App you will be emailed the result and you can show this as proof on arrival at the event.

Please do not email our customer services team to request this refund – this must be done using the online form.

What if I do not have a Smart Phone with the NHS App?

You can have your vaccination status, or your negative NHS lateral flow test emailed to your email address. You will need to print out the PDF and bring a copy with you to the event.

You can also order a copy of your vaccination letter from 119 or via NHS.UK. This can take up to 7 working days to arrive.

What if I, or someone attending with me, develop COVID-19 symptoms whilst at the event?

Anyone developing Covid-19 symptoms while at the event will need to leave the venue immediately, return home and start self-isolating immediately. They should also take a PCR test. All close contacts of that individual should also leave the venue, take a lateral flow test and start self-isolating.

If the symptomatic person receives a positive PCR then all who have been in close contact with that individual must self-isolate for ten days.

If the symptomatic person receives a negative PCR test then close contacts can come out of isolation.

If you are unable to attend the event for this reason, please notify us via email on tickets@silverstonewoodlands.co.uk with the subject line ‘Positive COVID-19 Test’.

How do I obtain a lateral flow test?

There are three options for accessing lateral flow tests:

2. Pick up from your local chemist - use the NHS test and trace website to find your nearest pick-up point

3. Go to your local community testing centre - use NHS test and trace website to find your nearest location.

What happens with my ticket if I do not wish to take a lateral flow test or show proof of vaccination to attend the event?

Can I still attend if I have a positive lateral flow test?

What if I have a positive result following the lateral flow test?

Anyone presenting with a positive lateral flow test needs to isolate immediately and follow NHS guidance: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/test-results/positive-test-result/

Should your follow up PCR test suggest you are negative to COVID-19 then you will be able to attend the Event. Please ensure you bring plenty of tests to enable you to carry out the extra testing when on the campsite.
