TERMS
1 DEFINITIONS
1.1 The following definitions apply in these Terms:
“Camper” means any person camping at the Campsite.
“Campsite” means Silverstone Woodlands Campsite located at Silverstone Road, Stowe, Bucks, MK18 5LJ.
“Company” means Buckingham Plant Hire Limited (co reg’n no 00542721) trading as Silverstone Woodlands Campsite.
"EHU Pitch” means a pitch at the Campsite with access to an electric hook-up (“EHU”) (being either a Live-in Vehicle EHU a Tent EHU).
"EHU Ticket" means a ticket reserving an EHU Pitch.
“General Pitch Area” means any area of the Campsite allocated for pitches other than the Disabled Access Area or any area set aside for EHU Pitches or Live-In Pitches.
"Group" means a group of Campers who are friends or members of the same family and who intend to camp on the same pitch.
"Live-In Pitch" means a pitch at the Campsite set aside for Live-In Vehicles but which is not an EHU Pitch.
"Live-In Vehicle" means any vehicle which the Camper plans to sleep in (or which is built or converted for sleeping in) including, but not limited to, motorhomes, caravans, trailer tents and vans.
"Live-In Vehicle Ticket" means a ticket which allows a Camper to use a Live-In Pitch.
"Prohibited Items” means the items listed in clause 11.1of these terms an any further items listed as ‘prohibited items’ on the Website at any time.
"Standard Ticket” means a ticket granting a Camper access to the Campsite.
"Vehicle Pass” means a pass granting a car or motorcycle access to the Campsite.
“Website” means the website at https://silverstonewoodlands.co.uk through which bookings for the Campsite are made.
1.2 In these terms:
1.2.1 a reference to ‘ticket’ or ‘tickets’ (without reference to the type of ticket) is a reference to any and all types of ticket referred to in these terms (including, without limitation, a Standard Ticket, a Live-In Vehicle Ticket and/or an EHU Ticket) as the context requires; and
1.2.2 a reference to a ‘pitch’ or ‘pitches’ (without reference to the type of pitch) is a reference to any and all pitches at the Campsite (including, without limitation, a pitch within the General Pitch Areas the Disabled Access Area, a Live-In Pitch and/or an EHU Pitch).
2 LOCATION AND OPENING HOURS OF THE CAMPSITE
2.1 The Campsite is located at the following address: Silverstone Woodlands, Silverstone Road, Stowe, Buckinghamshire. On entering the Campsite please follow all relevant directional signage.
2.2 The Campsite entry gates open at the time listed on the Website as being the opening time of the Campsite for the dates booked.
2.3 If a Camper arrives outside of the access times specified in clause 2.2the Camper will not be permitted access to the Campsite.
3 CANCELLATIONS
3.1 A ticket purchased via the Website may be cancelled at any time within 14 days of the date of purchase of that ticket. This cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the date of purchase but this does not apply to tickets purchased at the gate of the Campsite gate.
3.2 Please note that if a ticket is purchased less than 14 days before the date booked and is then used to access the Campsite, the Camper will no longer have the right to cancel that ticket.
3.3 To exercise the right to cancel, a Camper must inform the Company of his or her decision to cancel the ticket by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, but it is not obligatory
3.4 To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for a Camper to send a communication exercising the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
3.5 Should the Company receive notice of cancellation within the cancellation period outlined above, the Company will reimburse the Camper for the tickets cancelled (and will do so without undue delay, and not later than 28 days after the day on which the Company is informed about the cancellation of the Tickets) using the same means of payment as the Camper used for the initial transaction, unless the Camper expressly agrees otherwise; in any event, the Camper will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
3.6 Except as set out above, the Company is unable to offer refunds or exchanges in respect of any ticket purchased unless the event for which the ticket was purchased is cancelled or the Campsite is unavailable (for example due to flooding or fire or a reduction in the number of pitches available which means the Company has to refund the tickets purchased). If you purchase tickets for the Campsite for an event and the event does go ahead and the Campsite is available but you are (for whatever reason) unable to attend then no refund or exchange will be made.
3.7 If the event for which a ticket is purchased is cancelled by the Company then we may offer you the option of re-booking the Campsite for another event (subject to availability) but this is without prejudice to your statutory right to a refund.
4 HEALTH AND SAFETY RESTRICTIONS
4.1 The Company reserves the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions from time to time and / or to impose such restrictions or conditions on Campers or the use of the Campsite as a condition of admittance to the Campsite as the Company considers appropriate, taking into account current circumstances at the time of the event or in response to any guidance or requirements issued by the Government, Public Health England, any other governmental, judicial or regulatory authority or issued by any rights holder or governing body. You must check the Website before travelling to the Campsite for the latest version of the terms and conditions applicable at the time of your stay and for guidance on any health and safety measures in effectalthough the Company will notify you of any changes via email to the email address you provided when purchasing your tickets if there are changes that materially affect your rights as a consumer (for example if the Company is required to reduce the number of pitches available at the Campsite and is therefore unable to guarantee you access).
4.2 The restrictions referred to in clause 4.1above may include (without limitation) such things as:
4.2.1 health checks before entry (such as a temperature checks);
4.2.2 taking contact details of each Camper before entry to the Campsite is permitted;
4.2.3 requiring the wearing of face masks by Campers; or
4.2.4 reducing the number of pitches at the Campsite.
4.3 Admittance to the Campsite is subject to adherence to the rules and regulations of the Campsite including compliance with all restrictions or further conditions imposed on Campers or the use of the Campsite under this clause 4and it is the responsibility of all Campers to ensure they are able to comply with such rules and regulations. Any breach of the rules and regulations may result in the Company refusing admission to the Campsite or requiring non-compliant Campers to leave the Campsite without refund or compensation.
4.4 Any safety measures introduced by the Company will be aimed at reducing the health risks to Campers, but it is not possible to completely eradicate those risks. It is each Camper's sole decision to attend the Campsite acknowledging that they do so at their own risk. Campers are responsible for their own health and safety and must not solely rely on the measures put in place by the Company.
5 TICKETING
5.1 Tickets for Individual Campers
5.1.1 Each Camper must purchase a Standard Ticket and every Camper entering the Campsite is required to have a valid Standard Ticket. Standard Tickets are available for adults and children and must be purchased on a per Camper, and NOT a per pitch basis.
5.1.2 A complete and valid Standard Ticket for the relevant dates must be presented for a Camper gain entry to the Campsite.
5.1.3 The Campsite has an area with accessible toilets and showers reserved for blue badge holders (the “Disabled Access Area”). Further details relating to the use of the Disabled Access Area are given in clause 8of these terms.
5.1.4 Each Camper presenting a valid Standard Ticket will be given a wristband on arrival at the Campsite. The wristband must be kept intact for the duration of the Camper’s stay and is not transferable. If the wristband is lost or it detaches from the Camper to whom it was issued, entry and re-entry to the Campsite will be refused.
5.2 EHU Tickets
5.2.1 Any Camper/Group requiring use of an electric hook-up will need to purchase an EHU Ticket (see clause 7for further details regarding booking an EHU Ticket). An EHU Ticket is required on a per EHU Pitch basis and clause 7sets out the terms of use specific to the EHU Pitches.
5.2.2 There are two types of EHU Pitch - a Camper / Group bringing a Live-In Vehicle must book a Live-in Vehicle EHU Pitch and a Camper / Group bringing a tent must book a Tent EHU Pitch.
5.2.3 EHU Pitches are available in two pitch sizes - standard: approximately 7x8m or large: approximately 6x12m and a Camper / Group purchasing an EHU Ticket must ensure that he or she chooses the correct pitch size. Each Camper / Group should note that, whilst the Company endeavours to make pitch sizes as close as possible to the specified size, it cannot guarantee a pitch size will be exactly the size specified.
5.2.4 It is the Camper / Group’s responsibility to purchase the correct EHU Ticket and purchasing an EHU Ticket for the wrong type or size of EHU Pitch will invalidate that EHU Ticket. The Company reserves the right to refuse access to any Camper who does not hold a valid EHU Ticket of the correct type and for the correct pitch size.
5.2.5 Each Camper presenting a valid EHU Ticket will be given a pass confirming the right to use an EHU Pitch (a “Hook-Up Pass”). The Hook-Up Pass must be clearly displayed in the windscreen of the Live-In Vehicle or car belonging to that Camper and must be produced upon request from any representative of the Company at the Campsite. Any person found to be occupying an EHU Pitch for which they fail to display / produce a valid EHU Ticket or Hook-Up Pass will be moved to an alternative area of the Campsite. Persistent offenders will be removed from the Campsite and no refund will be given in these circumstances.
5.3 Tickets for Vehicles
5.3.1 Only Live-In Vehicles for which a valid EHU Ticket or (where available) Live-In Vehicle Ticket has been purchased (see below) and cars or motorcycles for which a Vehicle Pass has been purchased will be allowed entry onto the Campsite. Campers will not be permitted to bring other large vehicles (such as tractors, lorries, large vans etc.) onto the Campsite.
5.3.2 For each Live-In Vehicle entering the Campsite, an EHU Ticket or (where available) a Live-In Vehicle Ticket must be purchased. Live-In Vehicle Tickets are purchased on a per vehicle basis and the Camper should refer to the Website to determine whether a Live-In Vehicle Ticket is available for the dates being booked.
5.3.3 Live-In Pitches are available in two pitch sizes - standard: approximately 7x8m or large: approximately 6x12m and a Camper / Group purchasing a Live-In Vehicle Ticket must ensure that he or she chooses the correct pitch size. Each Camper / Group should note that, whilst the Company endeavours to make pitch sizes as close as possible to the specified size, it cannot guarantee a pitch size will be exactly the size specified.
5.3.4 A Live-In Vehicle Ticket does not grant access to an EHU. Where a Live-In Vehicle Ticket has been purchased, the Company’s staff at the Campsite will give directions as to where that Live-In Vehicle may be parked.
5.3.5 For the avoidance of doubt, if an EHU Ticket has been purchased for a Live-In Vehicle then a separate Live-In Vehicle Ticket will not be required for that vehicle.
5.3.6 For each car or motorcycle entering the Campsite, a Vehicle Pass is required. Vehicle Passes are required on a per car basis.
5.4 General
5.4.1 There are a limited number of tickets available (of all types) and the purchase of a ticket is strictly subject to availability. Ticket prices for all types of ticket are as advertised on the Website and may be different depending on the date(s) being booked.
5.4.2 Subject to availability, tickets may be purchased on the Campsite gate. Card payments are not accepted at the Campsite entrance. Payment will only be accepted in GBP Sterling.
5.4.3 A ticket only grants such rights to the holder in respect of the Campsite as are relevant to the ticket type purchased (as set out in these terms) and for the period of time stated on that ticket and does not give or guarantee access to the event in connection with which the Ticket was purchased.
5.4.4 A ticket gives entry to the Campsite from the date specified on the ticket. All pitches must be cleared, and the Campsite vacated, by midday on the following Monday. Tickets are not transferable to other dates and are strictly not for resale.
5.4.5 Tickets are not transferrable to other dates or times and are strictly not to be offered for resale. Tickets must only be used for personal or private use. If a ticket is resold or transferred for profit or commercial benefit or gain or as part of any hospitality package or similar arrangement without prior written consent from the Company, it will become void and the holder may be refused entry to or be ejected from the Campsite.
5.4.6 Tickets bought from unauthorised agents are not valid and admission will not be granted to the Campsite where it is suspected that a ticket has been purchased from unauthorised agent. Do not buy from Internet auction sites or exchange/buy tickets on social networking sites.
5.4.7 Duplicate tickets will not be issued if a ticket is lost, stolen, defaced, photocopied or illegible ticket and any ticket which is defaced, photocopied or illegible may be invalidated. Entry to the Campsite will be denied should any part of an otherwise valid ticket not be presented or if a ticket is invalidated.
5.4.8 R.O.A.R (Right Of Admission Reserved) applies to all ticket types. The Company’s decision on admission to the Campsite is final, regardless of ticket type.
5.4.9 The Company will not be liable for any lost tickets, passes or wristbands and replacements must be purchased at the full face value (subject to availability).
5.4.10 Each ticket, pass and wristband remains the property of the Company at all times and if a ticket or wristband is used in breach of these terms it is void and the holder may be refused entry to or rejected from the Campsite.
6 TERMS APPLICABLE TO GENERAL PITCH AREAS
6.1 Pitches on the General Pitch Areas are not individually marked out and cannot be reserved or booked as they are allocated on a first come first served basis.The Company cannot guarantee that members of the same Group will be allocated adjacent pitches, particularly if they do not travel together.
6.2 Campers should be courteous with their pitching on the General Pitch Areas and only take up the space needed. Any Camper/Group taking more space that necessary may be asked to reduce the size of their pitch.
6.3 At the discretion of the Company, Campers maybe permitted to park within the General Pitch Areas in accordance with the following terms:
6.3.1 Live-In Vehicles will normally be required to park on a Live-In Pitch or an EHU Pitch (as applicable) and will not generally be permitted to park within the General Pitch Areas. However, for certain events a Camper / Group may be permitted to park a Live-In Vehicle which does NOT require an EHU within the General Pitch Areas in which case they will be directed where to park by the Company’s representatives at the Campsite;
6.3.2 weather permitting, vehicles other than Live-In Vehicles may be permitted to park on the General Pitch Areas next to the vehicle owner’s tent.
6.4 In the instance of inclement weather Campers may be directed to park their vehicles (including any Live-In Vehicle) separately from their tents.
6.5 All decisions on the parking of vehicles (including Live-In Vehicles) will remain at the discretion of the Company’s representatives at the Campsite.
7 TERMS APPLICABLE TO LIVE-IN PITCHES AND ELECTRIC HOOK-UP (EHU) PITCHES
7.1 EHU Pitches and Live-In Pitches
7.1.1 A Live-In Vehicle for which a Hook-Up Pass has been issued may be parked on an EHU Pitch.
7.1.2 A Live-In Vehicle for which a Live-In Vehicle Ticket has been purchased may be parked on a Live-In Pitch.
7.1.3 In addition (and weather permitting) Campers may be permitted to park cars or motorcycles for which a Vehicle Pass has been purchased on their allocated EHU Pitch or Live In Pitch provided all vehicle(s) (including any Live-In Vehicle) fit within the pitch size purchased. If such vehicles (including any Live-In Vehicle) do not fit within the pitch purchased or, in an event, in the instance of inclement weather, Campers may be directed to park such additional vehicles separately from their pitch as directed by the Company’s representatives at the Campsite. The decision on parking will remain at the discretion of the Company’s representatives at the Campsite.
7.1.4 EHU Pitches and Live-In Pitches are situated in blocks, meaning the Company cannot guarantee that Campers travelling together but booking more than one EHU Pitch or Live-In Pitch will be allocated adjacent EHU Pitches or Live-In Pitches as the adjacent EHU Pitches or Live-In Pitches may have been booked by other Campers.
7.1.5 If a Camper’s / Group’s camping equipment (including any vehicles parked on the EHU Pitch or Live In Pitch in accordance with clause 7.1.3above) won’t fit onto the EHU Pitch or Live In Pitch booked, that Camper / Group will need to purchase an additional pitch or upgrade to a larger EHU Pitch or Live In Pitch. If no larger EHU Pitch or Live In Pitch is available, the Company reserves the right to ask the Camper / Group to leave the Campsite. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
7.1.6 In addition, if a Group, having booked one EHU Pitch or Live In Pitch, cannot all fit onto that pitch, the Company cannot guarantee that additional EHU Pitches or Live-In Pitches will be available and the Company reserves the right to move members of the Group onto a General Pitch Area or, where this is not possible, ask members of the Group to leave the Campsite. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
7.2 EHU Pitches Only
7.2.1 EHU Pitches are allocated at the discretion of the Company’s representatives at the Campsite.
7.2.2 The electrical contractor will provide 1no 16amp single phase CeeForm socket on a distribution board in one corner of the EHU Pitch or the adjacent EHU Pitch.
7.2.3 The supply will have 1no 30mA RCBO to afford both fault and overload protection. Each supply is rated at 8 amps. Please note that 8 amps is not sufficient for a conventional household kettle.
7.2.4 Each Group/Camper using an EHU Pitch must provide a suitable cable to facilitate their hook up from the pitch-side distribution board as follows:-
7.2.4.1 for a Tent EHU, this cable should be a 16a single phase Ceeform plug (blue) with an appropriate grade of double insulated, three core outdoor cable, 1.5mm or larger (twin and earth is not acceptable). The other end of the cable should be a 13a socket with some form of protection, electrical and mechanical. Ideally the cable should be 20M in length but no longer than 30M.
7.2.4.2 for a Live-in Vehicle EHU, a cable that is double insulated, three core and of an outdoor grade that has a 16a single phase CeeForm socket on one end and plug on the other. A minimum of 2.5mm cable is necessary.
7.2.5 The electrical supply has been designed so that minor nuisance trips should only take out the individual supply or at worst the final distribution board in the circuit. Should a Camper cause persistent trips and/or take out a larger trip in the circuit disabling larger areas of the Campsite then the Company reserves the right to refuse or withdraw supply to that Camper’s pitch. In extreme circumstance electrical equipment may be removed until the Camper departs.
7.2.6 The electrical contractor reserves the right to refuse connection if they do not feel a Camper’s equipment meets the required standards or specification.
7.2.7 It is the responsibility of the Camper / Group to ensure that the plug, cable and associated sockets used to connect between the distribution board and the Camper's tent or Live-In Vehicle is safe and fit for purpose. The Company will not accept responsibility for any accident or loss arising from the use of unsuitable or unsafe electrical equipment connected to the Campsite’s electricity supply.
7.2.8 The power for EHU Pitches is generated onsite by diesel-electric generators and a temporary distribution infrastructure. Due to the temporary nature of this infrastructure, the Company cannot guarantee the continuous supply of power in the event of technical issues or breakdown of this equipment and do not accept any liability for loss of power to any EHU Pitch which arises as a result.
7.2.9 Charging of electric cars is not permitted. The supply is not designed to support electric vehicle charging. Anyone found doing so will have their Hook-Up Pass revoked and/or may be asked to leave the Campsite. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
7.2.10 The Company reserves the right to refuse any reservation without explanation.
8 THE DISABLED ACCESS AREA
8.1 Subject to clause 8.4, each pitch within the Disabled Access Area is strictly for blue badge holders who purchase a valid Standard Ticket for the Disabled Access Area via the Website.
8.2 The Disabled Access Area does have a number of EHU Pitches. The provisions in these terms relating to Live-In Vehicles and EHU use (including the terms set out in clause7above) apply to the Disabled Access Area where applicable.
8.3 For a pitch within the Disabled Access Area to be allocated to a Camper/ Group on arrival, that Camper or at least one member of that Group must produce a valid blue badge along with the his or her valid Standard Ticket for the Disabled Access Area.
8.4 Whilst a holder of a Blue Badge is entitled to share their pitch with non-blue badge holders, the Company requests that each blue badge holder invites no more than 4 non blue badge holders to share occupation of his or her pitch wherever possible. This is requested as a courtesy to other blue badge holders and to ensure that the facilities provided in the Disabled Access Area are kept available for those who need them. Non-blue badge holders camping in the Disabled Access Area may be asked to give priority to blue badge holders regarding the use of those facilities particularly at peak times or on busy days.
8.5 Each non-blue badge holder sharing a pitch within the Disabled Access Area will be required to purchase a Standard Ticket for the Campsite.
9 TERMS APPLICABLE TO ALL PITCHES
9.1 All Campers must pitch as directed, not encroach on any other pitches and consider fire risk limitation, safety and access. If the pitch is judged to pose a risk to the safety and comfort of others the Camper(s) will be asked to move.
9.2 Campers must not camp under powerlines. In this instance Campers will be asked to move to a different location.
9.3 Gazebos are permitted on any pitch subject to space being available. In the event of inclement weather the Camper may be asked to dismantle the gazebo irrespective of the size or quality. Any Camper / Group erecting a gazebo does so at their own risk and any damage caused by them is the sole responsibility of that Camper or Group.
9.4 A pitch may only be occupied for recreational purposes and may not be used for any commercial purpose.No unauthorised trading is permitted within the Campsite or any public car park and there must be no trading/flyering/placing of posters/stickers without prior written consent from the Company.
9.5 The Company reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour and Campers must ensure compliance with the directions of the Company’s employees or management on these matters. The Company reserves the right to exclude or eject any person from the Campsite if it reasonably considers the behaviour of such person to be objectionable, a risk to health and safety or likely to cause any damage or bring the Campsite into disrepute. In this case, no refunds shall be given and the Camper who booked shall indemnify the Company against all and any losses, costs, damages, liabilities, claims, demands and expenses suffered or incurred by the Campsite arising out of any exclusion, ejection, or termination under this clause.
9.6 Campers must remove all items from their pitch and dispose of any rubbish in the designated waste disposal areas.
9.7 Campers may use BBQs on their pitch provided that:
9.7.1 disposable BBQs are placed on bricks;
9.7.2 BBQs are kept within the boundaries of the Camper’s pitch;
9.7.3 use of BBQs does not cause any inconvenience to other Campers; and
9.7.4 hot coals are cooled before disposal and are placed in designated waste disposal areas.
9.8 Campers must not use camping stoves or BBQs inside their tent, awning or vehicle.
9.9 Campers must not use spent BBQs or cooking equipment inside their tent, awning or vehicle for warmth.
9.10 Campers must not carry tall flag poles whilst walking in the proximity of power lines.
9.11 Campers must only drink water from the designated water points.
9.12 Cutting or damaging trees and other vegetation is strictly prohibited and the natural conditions of the Campsite are not to be disturbed. This includes tying ropes to, or driving nails into trees.
9.13 Anyone under the age of 18 must be properly supervised at all times.
10 USE OF VEHICLES AT THE CAMPSITE
10.1 No hired vehicles/caravans may be towed/driven onto site unless the driver holds a Standard Ticket and a valid ticket for the vehicle. No Camper will be allowed to access the Campsite to pre-pitch a caravan/motorhome or other temporary accommodation.
10.2 To minimise the risk of injury to Campers, once any vehicle (including any Live-In Vehicle) has parked at the Campsite, that vehicle may not be moved (unless it is leaving the Campsite) from the place it has been parked unless a request is made of the driver by one of the Company’s representatives at the Site to move the vehicle (e.g. in the event of changes in the weather or if access is required for emergency vehicles). The driver of any vehicle returning to the Campsite (including any Live-In Vehicle) after leaving will be required to park that vehicle in a separate car park away from any pitches.
10.3 All roads within the Campsite are classed as public roads, as such they fall under the various Road Traffic Acts which could lead to prosecutions for driving offences in the event of an incident. In particular (not without limitation):
10.3.1 DO NOT drink and drive.
10.3.2 Any person driving a vehicle within the Campsite must hold a valid driving licence.
10.3.3 All vehicles within the Campsite must have valid tax, insurance and MOT as appropriate.
10.3.4 A speed limit of 10MPH applies within all areas of the Campsite. Every Camper must comply with this speed limit at all times including Campers using bicycles or other wheeled conveyances.
10.4 The roads within the Campsite must be kept clear at all times. Any vehicles blocking the roads will be removed. Emergency vehicles need access to these roads at all times day and night.
10.5 Camper’s park their vehicle(s) on the Campsite grounds at their own risk. The Company accepts no liability for any damage, theft or loss to the Camper’s vehicle(s).
11 PROHIBITED ITEMS
11.1 The following items are NOT permitted on the Campsite:
11.1.1 campfires, firewood and fire starters;
11.1.2 chinese lanterns;
11.1.3 drones;
11.1.4 fireworks;
11.1.5 gas cylinders exceeding 15kg;
11.1.6 generators;
11.1.7 glass. All liquids must be decanted into plastic containers before arrival. All glass bottles will be removed and disposed of by the Company’s representatives at the Campsite on arrival;
11.1.8 kites;
11.1.9 offensive weapons;
11.1.10 paddling pools / Swimming Pools / Hot Tubs etc;
11.1.11 pets including dogs (except for registered assistance dogs);
11.1.12 radio controlled aircrafts;
11.1.13 restricted and illegal substances;
11.1.14 sound systems capable of creating excessive noise;
11.1.15 monkey bikes, mini moto, pit bikes, scooters, Segways and quads; and
11.1.16 any and all items that are deemed dangerous, offensive or unsuitable for the safe environment of the Campsite.
11.2 It is the responsibility of each Camper to check the Website before travelling to the Campsite for an up-to-date list of all Prohibited Items.
11.3 The Company reserves the right to search any/all vehicles and/or persons on arrival and to conduct security searches at any time thereafter as appropriate to ensure the safety of persons at the Campsite.
11.4 The Company reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone carrying a Prohibited Item and/or to confiscate the Prohibited Item, regardless of the tickets carried by the persons concerned. No refund will be issued to that person if admission is refused and the Company cannot undertake to guarantee the safe custody or return of the Prohibited Item.
11.5 A challenge 25 policy will be in place for alcohol sales at the Campsite.
11.6 The use of photographic equipment is allowed for private domestic purposes only. All other recording and any transmission is prohibited including (without limitation) recording of any data or information relating to the Campsite and/or any Camper other than a member of the same Group. As a condition of entry to the Campsite each Camper assigns (by way of a present assignment of future copyright) the copyright in any photographs or recordings you make at the Campsite to the Company.
12 FACILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
12.1 The Company aims to provide designated water points, toilets and shower facilities at the Campsite for the use of all Campers.
12.2 The Company may, depending on the event for which the Campsite is open, put on entertainment or provide additional facilities. Details of entertainment and facilities available during any particular period will be available on the Company’s Website.
12.3 All artists, vendors and billed attractions are subject to change.
12.4 Pyrotechnics/lasers/smoke machines/strobe lighting and special effects may take place during some performances
12.5 Exposure to loud noise may cause damage to your hearing, you should take relevant precautions to prevent any damage occurring.
12.6 All Campers are asked to note that the availability of any facilities cannot always be guaranteed and, particularly during busy periods or peak times, there may be queues to use the Campsite’s facilities.
13 FURTHER REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE CAMPSITE
13.1 The Company reserves the right to post further directions regarding the use of the Campsite on the Website and/or at the Campsite. Campers must comply with all such directions and requirements of the Company and all verbal directions or instructions issued by the Company’s representatives at the Campsite.
13.2 Failure to comply with any of the rules and regulations prescribed by the Company or the Company’s representatives at the Campsite in relation to the use and enjoyment of the Campsite or behaving in a manner which is deemed unsociable or potentially dangerous will result in the Camper being ejected from the Campsite without refund.
13.3 Use of the Company’s logo or associated images is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from the Company.
14 LIABILITY OF THE COMPANY
14.1 Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or the negligence of its employees, agents or subcontractors (as applicable) or any other matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for the Company to exclude or restrict liability.
14.2 Subject to clause 14.1, all property and items brought into the Campsite by any Camper shall be the sole responsibility of and at the sole risk of the Camper. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage to any property including, but not limited to, motor vehicles (including Live-In Vehicles), tents and other camping equipment and personal effects, howsoever such loss or damage is caused or sustained.
14.3 Subject to clause 14.1, the Company shall not be liable for injury, loss or damage suffered by any Camper or occupants of any pitch, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
14.4 The Company is not responsible for matters outside our control. If our performance of the services we are to provide is affected by an event outside our control then we will notify you of the issue as soon as possible and we will take steps to minimise the effect that such event has on you. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays or non-performance caused by the event outside our control but if there is a risk of substantial delay or non-performance (for example if you will not be able to access the Campsite on the days booked) you may contact us to receive a refund for the tickets you have purchased. Events outside our control may include (without limitation) pandemics, epidemics or other outbreaks of diseases, flooding, fires or other natural events or adverse weather conditions, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial dispute, nuclear accidents, acts of God, war, terrorist activity, riot, civil commotion, acts of government or changes to law, statutory guidance, non-statutory guidance, rule, regulation and/or direction which affect the operation of the Campsite, non-performance by the Company's suppliers or subcontractors (other than by companies in the same group as the Company) or interruption or failure of a utility or service supplying the Campsite.
14.5 If there is a problem or dissatisfaction with any matters under the Company’s control, the Camper should notify the Company immediately, so the Company has the opportunity to rectify issues. The Company cannot accept liability in relation to any claim of whatever nature if the Camper fails to notify the Company of any issue prior to leaving the Campsite.
15 USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BY THE COMPANY
15.1 The Company will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy. You can find our Privacy Policy on the Website.
15.2 By entering the Campsite each Camper consents to having his or her image, voice and likeness captured through photography and film. The Company will own all rights and the footage may be used for promotional materials. This includes the filming by the police or security staff that may be carried out for the security of other Campers.
15.3 CCTV cameras are in operation on the Campsite. Footage from these cameras may be used at the discretion of the Company.
16 THESE TERMS
16.1 The Company reserves the right to alter these terms at any time. Please check back regularly for changes.
16.2 These terms are governed by English Law and the Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to decide any disputes in relation to these terms.
16.3 The Company may transfer its obligations under these terms to someone else (e.g. in the event of a sale of the Campsite).
16.4 If a court finds part of these terms illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
